Zune Presents “The Takeover”
This Friday (Nov 30), Zune is partnering with Goods in Seattle to produce the “Seattle Takeover 2″ event, which will celebrate the special edition GOODS customized Zune 80 and feature performances from Bun B and Swizzbeatz, with DV One (Rock Steady Crew) on the decks.
The Seattle event is the first in a series of 5 nationwide Takeover events, where Zune is partnering with retail boutiques and creating limited edition customized Zune devices. Future TAKEOVER events will include: January in LA/Las Vegas; Huf in San Francisco; February, Reed Space in NYC; March, St. Alfreds in Chicago.
Upcoming TAKEOVER events are a collaborative effort between the retail boutique and Zune, and will feature performances from top level talent in each market. Zune has partnered with other boutique retailers in the past to produce limited edition customized devices, including Dave’s Quality Meat in NYC and Seattle’s Capitol 1524 (which featured a performance by Clipse last January), and comes on the heels of Zune’s recently launched Zune Originals concept, which gives Zune owners the opportunity to customize their own devices online with original designs created by contemporary artists.
Attendance to the Zune Takeovers are by invitation only, and all 80GB customized Zune devices from TAKEOVER events will be available for limited purchase at each participating boutique.
