Finally the Wii

wii1.jpg

Got a new toy this morning! Finally got a hold of the Nintendo Wii. In a previous post I mentioned that Nintendo would not be able to supply the demand. Well I was fortunate enough to get tipped off that GameStop would be selling today. So I get there around 8:30am, 1st one there. I guess Jaydee is smarter than me, she calls Target and gets one. So instead of waiting till 11 when GameStop opens, I rush over to the closest Target and snag one. woohoo! I would sell the other one in the picture but Jaydee is selling it on ebay.

Nike and Trek Break Up

niketrek.jpgAfter seven years, Nike and Trek will be parting ways. Trek and Nike will end their license deal at the end of the year. Looks like the two companies had marketing differences. Nike wanted to focus on high-end and Trek wants to do a full line of apparel and footwear. My guess is with Lance Armstrong retired they lost their main source of marketing for two companies as a joint. They have already benefited from each other with the help of Armstrong’s success and it’s time to move on. Lets see what Nike will bring to the cycling world for 2008.

Wii Shortage

wii.jpgLooks like all the people without a Nintendo Wii may have to wait till 2009 to actually have a chance of owning one. Analyst predict that Nintendo will not be able to supply the demand till 2009. That will be good, by then Nintendo will have a new system that we’ll all be hunting for. I think they’ll have it handled soon or even cop a system from Ebay or Craigslist.
